Born in Tokyo in 1972.

She studied Film Science and Creative Writing at Waseda University, Tokyo. In 1995 she moved to Germany, where, after studying Dramatology at Ludwig Maximillian University Munich, she studied Film Directing at University of Television and Film Munich: „The Red Spot“ is her graduation project and her debut feather. She directed lots of short films and documentarys. Intercultural themes are central to her work.
